Seems abit ironic to me coming from a company selling products going beyond their specifications all because of profit, basing their actual company name on overclocking.Although a vocal minority have made their voices heard, we've received a lot of good feedback about the green theme due to its carbon reducing effect, optimising subpixel efficiency on most displays.
The intent is to find a way to encourage users to voluntarily switch to it, rather than enabling the force function that was enabled yesterday, however we will review uptake and consider its use in future if this is not above a certain threshold.
We're committed to doing our part to tackle climate change, and we have a duty to future generations to make sacrifices to achieve net zero.
Really late, or really early, for 1st April?Although a vocal minority have made their voices heard, we've received a lot of good feedback about the green theme due to its carbon reducing effect, optimising subpixel efficiency on most displays.

This green actually hurts the eyes, there's nothing funny about it. If it seriously some sort of 'prank' then whoever did it needs a mental health check.
Hope not as I chose it too!I chose green from the beginning..... Does that make me weird?

That'll be a slight amendment to the existing blue orthodoxy, taking advantage of the freedoms of Brexit.Maybe there should be a red theme as well.
Some people seem to have a very different experience of the forum to me. I wonder if they miss things in real life, too. Too much whoosh.I cried into my breakfast over this post
it did not workFor a forum full of self confessed computer geeks, changing the theme colour by themselves was a step too far for them

Aren't we already saving around 2/3 of power consumption switching from the days of CRTs anyway? If anything companies such as AMD, Intel should stop selling products that can be overclocked, same with graphics cards, can't imagine how much power would be saved on a global scale.
More awareness on how to undervolt hardware also, or maybe lazy manufacturers can do more to make undervolting easier with the push of a button, general folk buying hardware probally never overclock anyway.
And then there's the mining thing as well, I can't imagine how much energy that uses on a global scale.
It was locked lol. That was the point. I gave up trying to read forum with it on as it was giving me eye strain and headache. For a forum full of self confessed computer geeks, changing the theme colour by themselves was a step too far for them

The green theme is good for people with dyslexia, although it was the wrong shade of green. Perhaps the mods were trying to improve spelling.
