how do you clean inside components

A vacuum cleaner on limited power and a bicycle pump will take you a long way.

Or, as the previous poster said, air compressor, that'll blow the dust out the best way.

no i dont have an air compressor, but i used to have one and that use to spit out tiny bits of oil in the air, so im not liking that idea, i was thinking a can of compressed air from my local town centre? but just wanted to know what type really, have not got the money to fork out for an actual air compressor, unless i took my pc down to my local petty station and used their air compressor for the car tyres lol

I use Vacuum Cleaner, Jeweler's Screwdriver, a baby wipe and maybe a damp sponge.

I use the screwdriver to dislodge the dust build up in between the CPU Heatsink Fins and GPU heatsink fins. Then Vacuum.

I use the Baby wipe to remove the dust from the fans, and either the damp sponge/baby wipe on the case itself to remove the dust. leave all to dry!

Compressed Air is usually the safest way though

yeah im not getting into a deep clean or anything its only about 6 weeks old, so will any compressed air in a can do then? as ive heard they let out moisture and water in the air?

Air is Air, last time I checked, so yes any will do.

The moisture you mention usually occours if the can is used upside down. you can however purchase invertible air dusters.

Not sure about the vacuum idea but I'd use a can of compressed air and a soft brush

Or a rocket air blower instead of the can :p

Soft tipped painting brush(talking like pen sized), can of air and a hoover..

Brush and air to dislodge and move dust, hoover to suck it up. Simply use a combination of the air and the brush to move dust to the hoover, chances are the hoover will pick up a lot of dust without even needing to be within an inch of anything.

Whilst canned air is great, just blowing the dust is simply moving it around, you still need somewhere for it to go, the hoover is probably a good place.. ;)

I doubt there will be very much dust in there at all then. If there is a fair bit id consider looking at your fan setup. Ideally you want more air going in than out to create a positive pressure and have the intake fans filtered to stop them pulling dust in. I have my case setup in this way using some fan control to make sure I always have more air going in and I get very little dust build up.

thats interesting u say that as my intake is all ways less RPM then my exhause....mhh.... im itching to see what the inside is like now lol, what kind of fan controller do you have? i like the look of them 3.5" bay ones

Don't forget, if you have a CPU heatsink, have a good look at it with a flashlight, if it's clogged with dust you should take it out in order to clean it properly (and not blow dust all over/around the socket).

Edit: nevermind, just saw it's only 6 weeks old lol.

Most of the reliable ones don't unless of course you turn it upside down whilst spraying.
