How do you completed delete all internet history?

How do i go about deleteing all traces of internet history for firefox and ie off my computer? Can it just be done by doing clear private data in firefox, or do i need to delete all my temp files or get windows washer or something?

For Firefox there is a menu to clear the files ,IE has a section too , but for IE I use Window Washer . This clears out everything and you can keep the cookies you need .
 
i use ccleaner. it does both ie and ff at once. but you can select cookies to keep which is handy for forums and such like where you want to stay logged in.
 
ccleaner does the job well

run mru blaster after ccleaner to get rid of a fwe more program settings

3 posters above are right on the money. get crap cleaner. superb.

but if you use ms word and certain other programs, and don't want you're doc history deleted, or any other history, be sure to deselect them in crap cleaner.
