How do you deal with cows

Give them their space, and extra if they've got calves, and you'll normally be fine. Stay as far as possible from Bulls!

Main thing I was always taught was when you've got a cow following you / coming towards you, do not run. The cow won't run until you run, but when the cow runs it can run faster than you!

And if you turn round or walk towards it it'll probably stop...

Cows also don't seem to like bikes. I once went through a field of them with mine and they surrounded me. Rather disconcerting when you literally surrounded by cows with them grunting and stamping their feet behind you. I escaped however, climbed over a gate with a few foot of fence either side situated in the middle of the field (no idea why it was there...), the cows stopped following me*. :p

*Obviously they're not very bright, they could have just walked round it in 10 seconds... :D

Ome walks up to them and milks them.

First be sure you have a female cow and not a male cow.

Actually I admit I don't feel comfortable around herds of cows. But GF just waves her arms and shouts 'C'MOANNNNN! C'MOAAANNNN' and I guess that is what all farmers do, because the cows are under her complete control after that.

Give them a nice sensual udder-job. Then they will allow you to ride them.

Cows are no problem, now horses, they scare me after one chased me trying to mount me.

They can be pretty dangerous. The closest thing I've had to a dodgy encounter was when I was out walking with some friends, we were walking by a field and about 20 of them came rushing to the wall, they were mooing loudly and fussing to get to the wall, sounds hilarious (especially the rampant mooing) but it was really unusual, it was around April/May last year so I think they may have had calves? Not sure, but the amount of injuries sustained by people each year is enough to make me wary.

as title i find cows very scarey, you walk miles and miles on these footpaths enjoying the walk then the next field is full of menacing cows ,its udderly terrifying imho . are you supposed to run towards them waving your arms or just keep as far away as possible ,honestly this is a serious question as its spoiling my walks

I landed up a field full of cows on a bike ride once, they came and licked my front tyre.

There was a massive bull (obviously the pimp) in the middle of a field full of cows that just stared and really couldn't care less.

Cows, and bulls are not scary.

There are baby cows in a field next to us and they have milk breath. Awwww :D

Cows are terrible wrestlers, they can stand and bang and take a lot of damage so what you want to do is get in the pocket, clinch with double underhooks, sweep and toss a bitch to the side, once grounded you can pound away from a mount position and it will offer very little defence, then go for a choke of some kind to put it to sleep.
