As the title says, don't want to put them in the wheelie bin. Is there a correct way of going about this? It's a full set (had new ones for xmas).

Hand it in at your loacal station, recylce center or donateto a charity shop? Throwing it in the bin can be potentially dangerious even if wrapped? If you wanna go the wrapping way try to bend the knife and be careful in the process. :)

There just a set of old kitchen knives but there still pretty sharp (and big), think i might try the police option maybe they have a special knife policy.

excuse me officer [takes out knife] take this and [takes out another ] this!

That's going to go well...

I reckon set-up a wooden target in your garden and use the old knives to hone your ninja kitchen-knife throwing skills...better safe than sorry, you never know when your house is going to be stormed by armed attackers! Always be prepared!

Bury them in the back garden for Tony Robinson's great great great grandson to find. How do you think the things they dig up now got there? All these trinkets they find were deliberately put there by some prehistoic chav having a laugh.
