How do you fall asleep?

Interesting question.

How do you like to fall asleep?

Complete darkness, some light, background noise (maybe the tv/radio in the background)

For me it has to be complete darkness.

No other way i can go to sleep. The Mrs. thinks i'm always checking up on her when i want her to come to bed but it's only because i need her there to help me sleep. Big baby.

Lying on my right side in complete darkness and silent. Although I can sleep eventually with a bit of light and noise, it's just not as quick.

Depends how tired I am. If Im shattered then I can fall asleep anywhere. But usually no noise no light.

Not silence for me, need the TV on. Sleeptimer if I remember, if not, like the early hours of this morning, I wake up to JML Steam Cleaner demonstrations.

Do you not have a pillow to soak up the tears?

I can only fall asleep when I'm really tired.. Noise, lighting etc is irrelevant. I can even fall asleep whilst sat on the toilet if I'm tired!

Close my eyes, practically anywhere, anytime.

I can sleep on the train in the middle of the day with music in my ears whilst sitting up.

I really struggle to get to sleep if my gf isn't in bed with me. Don't need to touch her or anything, just her presence makes me relax really quickly.

On my own, my brain goes all hyperdrive thinking about stuff and it takes me ages to nod off.

I just feel sleepy, hit the sack then fall asleep. Simples! Don't need darkness, or quiet or anything else, if I am sleepy then I will just fall asleep anywhere

Unfortunately sorn21 is homeless, he posts on the forums via a found iPhone and free wifi hotspots. Hi charges the phone at a shelter.

I often fall asleep on the sofa with the telly on - then wake up at about 3am & realise my wife went to bed hours ago.

Quiet walk upstairs to try and not wake her, then one of my cats comes in and snuggles up to me. 'Tis nice!

I absolutely can't sleep with human contact or noise. It's never completely dark with a street light outside, but it's dark enough.

Absolutely can't sleep on trains/planes/automobiles.
