How do you find new music?

My current playlist is getting a bit stale but I'm struggling to find anything else that I like.

I normally just trawl through the recommendation/"Other customers purchased..." pages on iTunes and Amazon. When that fails I'll try YouTube and a few recommendation sites (like tastekid and TuneGlue). This time I'm coming up blank.

Where do you look to find new music?

I've used Internet Radio quite a bit. 1.FM Alternative is normally a good shout. Chronix Aggression for some heavier stuff. I got a PURE internet radio and have that going during the day when I am off.

If you sit there with Shazam on your mobile then you'll rapidly build a good selection.

Spotify, youtube, randomly searching google for "Music like X".

I'm currently working my way through a youtube playlist of several hundred electronic songs, the majority of which I have ever heard of before.

The thing is you don't always need to be finding new music.

Look at the artists I like, check out their influences and contemporaries, it all branches out pretty quickly. I also check out music blogs/review sites every now and then too.

Mostly internet radio. I listen to a lot of ambient/chillout and also progressive-house, plenty of good internet radio stations out there though I tend to just stick to the same few I know I like. Hear a track I like, find it on Spotify/Rdio, then listen to the whole album, other albums by that artist, and other suggested artists, and so on.

Beatport is good as it has individual charts for genres. Obviously only good if you want to listen to electronic/dnb/dubstep etc

See what Google Play Music compares my current music to, then pop over to Spotify and have a quick listen :)
