how do you fit a ssd in a desktop computer ?
the smallest space i have is 3.5
obviouly you can do it but how ?

Various options - this, a bungee cord sling or if you really don't want it shifting about, gaffa tape!

Wouldn't have thought there's much point in a bungee cord sling with an SSD?

Just screw in one side of the SSD through the pre-drilled holes in a normal hard drive bay (as long as it's not hanging off two holes on one side). An SSD doesn't make any noise anyway, so it doesn't really matter where it is - as long as it's cool etc.

As a noise dampening measure then yeah, it's pretty redundant for an SSD but it's still a valid means of mounting. Screwing in one side only is just as valid, in fact for vertical drive bays it's the certainly the way to go.
