How do you get into modelling?

How do you get into modelling? do you just have some photographs taken professionally then go visit some agencies. Do you just go to an event like the clothes show and hope you get seen?

Why don't you just search on Google for information for new models, instead of asking on a PC hardware forum?

I once got asked if I would cut my hair for some modelling in Glasgow (i was sitting waiting for my GF in Starbucks in Inverness)...

I totally panicked as I thought about my hair lol... I think I just said no!

Stupid me didn't even find out what it was for or how much I'd get paid at the time lol - to be fair, I would have had to beat myself up if I cut my hair for modelling - that would be uber metro...

Some get spotted
Some enter competitions
Some sent in photographs to agencies hoping they'll get even an interview
Some just knows photographers - networking.

If you think you're so good you wont have ANY hesitation on posting pics here.

I think I'm hot stuff and am going to get in touch with some agencies soon, if I had pics I would so definitely post them.

So in answer to the question just call up some agencies.

And some spend £1000s getting photos, going to expensive nightclubs and still don't make it...

Neither, it's just me showing that if I had pics and was posting a thread like this they would already be posted. I mean if he's serious then he's not going to be shy about showing people photographs of himself is he?

They'v been ripped off, real agencies don't ask for money for photoshoots.

I am not vain at all I don't think I am better looking than anyone else or ugly
