How do you guys clean your....

..cans. By which I mean headphones. Or more specifically the ear muff bits that touch your ears.

I accidenly smelled my bed pair of headphones, ones I've worn to fall asleep in, left on the floor, stepped on a few times, sweated a lot and worn all sorts of different hair products with and boy oh boy, they stank worse than infected female genitals.
 
mine smell, unsurprisingly, like my hair.

the worst thing i have to rid them of is pillow fluff.
 
My 595's smell lovely, just like my hair.

I sometimes use a dab of polish and a cloth to remove hair of them though, once every month or so.
 
I'm afraid mine do, they're not faring so well atm. The headphone cups are leather, might just get a very slightly damp cloth and give that a go..
 
Lol I wash my hair everyday, it's just that as said sleeping with product on etc., after a night out when I sweat a lot.....and 5 or so years is a long time!

Wash behind your ears son and try getting a replacement set of muffs; the cans I got have some spares included for (hopefully not) the eventuality of said rancid smell.

If they are leather then perhaps a moist cloth, or better if you can remove this part of the cans then give them a really good clean :)

Lol thats a terrible analogy mate :eek:

I would guess a damp cloth and some form of cleaning product.

After that try some Cherry Blossom shoe protector, I did that on my last pair that had leather muffs. Should prevent them from absorbing the products/sweat from yer big head :p
 
Shoe protector? I like that, more than one use.. ;)

Sorry about the analogy, I really was struggling to come up with one that had less impact but er, the same meaning...
