Just wondering how people keep up to date on this forum? It obviously as many active members logged in and anyone time and the pace at which posts are made is pretty frantic. I normally check twice a day, but even then which I hit New Posts I can have 20 pages (which seems to be the limit) worth!

So how do you do it? Vist often, not worry about what you missing, or just visit the forums sections you are intersted in?

Instant mail notifications for subscribed threads - that's the easy way :p

I used to browse from work during free moments too but they've implemented a new ISA firewall that logs browsing habits based on username per machine now instead of just blocking sites by URL (like http://www.penisland.net !) so no more browsing from work !

I don't worry about it. I generally cover everything I need to anyway, and anything I miss gets brought to my attention.

I usually jump on the forums in the morning around 7am before work for around 20 mins or so. I generally just check threads that Ive posted in, the night before.

After work, if Im in then I would check the forums. I usualy check them on and off whilst doing other things.

I normally check pretty much most sections on the forum.

I don't. Reading the forums is a fun relaxation not a full time job. If you miss some threads of interest, so what? There will be plenty more! That's what I like about this place.

Just check the forums I'm interested in my lunchbreak and at some point during the evening, and don't generally worry if I'm missing anything. Anything good usually stays on the first page for a while.

This is a busy place but everytime I head over to AV Forums, that place just amazes me everytime.

Post a thread asking for help and you have answers in seconds :D

I don't generally worry about what I miss here, after I check my subscribed threads I've got a rough order that I go through the forums in for a quick scan then if/when I've got more time I'll spend a bit more time just looking at threads that might have dropped off the front page.

Yeah that's all pretty good points actually. What's the big deal if you miss it and if it's good it will probably stay on the first couple of pages for a while :)

Just out of interest anyone visit other pc/hardware forums?

I only really use the Sports Arena, Console section And Motors. When there's nothing there for me to read/post on I check the other sections.

New posts thing dosen't really work on such a large forum like this imo.

I often only read the first page of GD/Motors/Games.

The forums are always on in the background when I'm doing work and I probably check them for new posts every half an hour.

I just click new posts and check back as far as the point I last went offline.

Doesn't take long.
