In the house I spray them.

When I go on holiday to Africa or India I always take a few quality elastic bands with me. The red ones left by the postman are unsuitable. If I'm laying on a sunbed and get bothered by a persistant fly and a quick wave of the hand doesn't keep them away I wait until they land and splat them with the elastic band. It's bloody, but it works.

Stun with normal fly swatter.
Then pick them up with battery operated one & put it on the wires.
Push button until it smokes.
Chuck down sink.
Pour bleach down plughole.

Job done.

iv seen this on tv with rolf harris, no idea what it was, but it just came to me, he said it does actually work, but not on african flies, no idea why lol

I tend to use my hands for mosquitoes and smaller flies but anything larger than that and I'll use a magazine or tea towel.

Wait for it to land and attack from the front fly's can only take off forwards.

If you want to kill mosquito let it bite you and stretch the sick around around the bite, its sucker should get stuck and it will keep drinking until it dies.

*Not advised in malaria ridden countries*
