I've extracted the cinematic files as it explains in the readme (although i had to create the 'steamapps/sourcemods' folder and i extracted the folder containing the mod files in there.

What next?

That should be it, just resart Steam and the game icon should appear in the steam list. Make sure you have the game installed that the mod has been created for! I.e. If it's a HL2 mod then you NEED hl2 installed, not EP1! :)

Yup

You should have put the folder in the steamapps/sourcemods folder so it reads along the lines of...

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\SourceMods\YOUR MOD FOLDER HERE

Once its in the right place you should find it in your steam games list.

Word of warning, watch out for those nipples.

there is a nude mod? lol!

i downloaded the FAKEFACTORY CINEMATIC MOD V3 mod just now, is that the high ress single player game for HL-2? and does it overright my HL2 files? should i create another copy of the game... or just do it?

Doesn't overwrite HL2 files...read the readme and the post in this thread. :)

Fake factory mod uses the HL2 game, but uses code to run the new files from the fake factory folder instead of the original HL2 folder. (Or something along that line)

And the modeling done on alyx is quite...detailed to say the least :p I found my self dying a lot more due to distractions. :p

im just patching the mod again now, was downloading them all at around 250kb's of filefront the best one to get them from,
you should see my screenshots i just took ;)

The cinematic experience is great; the score is fantastic; the clothing doesn't leave much to the imagination.
