How do you save on monthly outgoings?

No way would it be that much. Unless you live in a mansion perhaps and leave the lights on 24/7?

The saving from them is tiny really although it depends on personal usage. Especially in summer when lights will be little used.

As for saving on a TV package - just go the whole hog - get a refund of your TV licence and don't watch TV. There's £11 a month saved straight away.

I can't remember where I read it, it was in somthing wierd like Enviromentalist or somthing so it was probably crazily biased, as you say with all lights on 24/7. What was important was how quickly they paid for themselves in savings vs normal light bulbs, it was like 10 months or somthing which is fast for anything that saves energy.

Problem with flourescent lighting is that somthing about it makes me really really depressed.

Just to make the mods happy, the Starview boxes, Starview2 (the Box) is the current one, are perfectly legal to own and use, although they can be used to view all cable subscription channels (including PPV events) which is illegal if you are not paying the relevant subscription/PPV fees. Which I obviously do not condone. ;)

we had something like this back in the states, when I was 12 and my friend was 10 we made a de-scrambler and were able to watch any cable channel lol
