I want to send an animated gif using Outlook 2003. in the actual body text.

But if I add as an attachment, then it's an attachment. I want this animation in the body, so that when someone rec's the email they'll see the animation.

If I add it as a picture from file then it's static?

Can anyone throw any pointers?

Thanx

Think you just need to set the email type to html. Then paste it into the body.

tried that but when you try and paste all it does is paste it as an attachment.

If I insert it as a picture then all it does is attach it as a static image and no animation and i've got the mail set to HTML

either i'm doing something real stupid or i'm missing something

it might well send it animated but not display it playing when you attach it, tried sending it to yourself and opening it?

ahhh that's what it is!!! It was driving me mad... I knew it was possible but couldn't find any info on it over the net..

I knew it would be something stupid.
