Ok as I was prepping my dinner tonight it came into my head if anyone else chops / slices / rips apart even their sweet peppers the same way. For me it's a case of top and bottom sliced off then slice down through the sides cutting out the the seed section in middle if that makes sense? The norm is you are left with four flat sections of pepper on the board..... next.

That seems very wasteful. I just chop them in half, deseed them, then chop to the required size.

I run a knife around the top of the pepper, grab the stalk and twist — 99% of the seeds come out with the top of the pepper.

I then slice it in half length ways, slice each half into thin strips width ways and then slice these stips in half.

Makes for the perfect sized slices for salad, stir-fry fajitas etc.

This really, however I do find it quicker lopping the top off.

I used to try that but obviously i'm quite heavy handed - seeds fly everywhere.

I just cut each wall of the pepper off from the top and it falls away with no seeds attached, leaving just the core untouched.

Lop the stalk and a little bit of the top off, pull out the seeds/pithy surround by hand then cut it in half. From there, slice into strips and then cube if necessary.
