How do you stop an exploding 360?

I feel bad for the people who have given genuine replies, as they probably did not see my over the top Heroes thread in consoles earlier (gone now). This thread was a sort of unfunny rebuttal to that one being removed. (This one is technically On Topic, whilst the previous one was not, by a country mile)

Whilst I appreciate the kind words rest assured I am OK, as is my 360, and my razor sharp wit/sarcasm shall be back on top form tomorrow, after a slight lull today.

The next time you see a post entitled "How do you stop an exploding 360?" will probably be when my 360 if/does die for real. I do not wish to became a farmers boy who shouts "wolf, wolf, daddy, I see a wolf" and then gets an ass whoopin from daddy when the wolf is not there.

What happened to the forza reunion last week? Me sad panda! :(

Wish Microsoft would buck their ideas up with the quality of the 360. The original was immense! If they needed to make the 360 a little bigger to stop the problems I don't think there would be much of a problem.

Size isn't the issue as there are many home-made remedies that fit in the box. It's simply poor design.

If it's just sound that you want to sort you can replace them with quieter fans with the same airflow and also remove the fan-grills. The cooling mods include the above as well as X-Clamp replacement, using better thermal paste and using cardboard to redirect airflow. My system is noticeably cooler after doing just the fan replacement, grill removal and cardboard redirection.
 
I'd love some quieter fans :p

I bought those talismoon whisper ones which are far noisier than my original 360 fans, but they do a far better job of shifting the air.

I still havent got around to getting some talismoon fans.

Things on my to do list are;

*Get The Talismoon Fans
*Buy a new quieter PSU (mines stupidly loud)
*Maybe cut the grill

Things Done;

*Sound Deadened with Stinger Roadkill
*Card Airflow re-direction

The loudest thing though is the disk drive without a doubt, i have even wrapped mine in stinger roadkill and its noisey still.
