How do you turn off this dynamic brightness on 8800GTS?

I dont have any wierd effect on Vista or XP, on CRT or LCD, so if your happy fine, but hope its not a glitch in cards or driver, it would not affect speed anyhow.

I can only guess what your seeing, I assumes it may be DV, google it anyhow, probably a driver issue or buggy Vista :p .
I can see what it's trying to do and it works to a degree but it's the transition that bugs me. The desktop has never looked so rich and bright and when I load up a near empty window, or perhaps google in the browser, it's like it tints the display to take the edge off the brightness. Once adjusted it's fine, it's just the transition.

How very weird.

I am very impressed with this card however. The more stuff I load up the more I'm convinced I made the right choice.

I do know what its for, and can use google also, thats not helping the OP, I only asked him to check it was or was not DV stuck on.

It is not turned on, on the desktop for XP, thats all I can say for now as Im off Vista, no card I have owned, and no drivers and no tampering by me, its off, only on botched drivers was it on and I mean on full, you had to slide it off or end up with sore eyes.

The op seems happy so topics closes for me, but still I do not think there should be wierd effect on the screen, I did test Vista from early Longhorn, then offically for MS as beta.
