How do you upload photos to this forum???

I'm having difficulty uploading photos to this forum.

I tried everything with direct links using the tool bar and without the tool bar links to images from imgbb and I either get a link or just IMG displayed.

Why is it so flaming complicated?

Can somebody please tell me what the trick is?

You can't upload images here. You need to upload them to an alternative hosting site and link them here.
Get the direct link to your image (must end in .jpg, or similar) and put it between IMG tags

Imgur, nice and simple.
 
Download this.

Right click any image anywhere, click on "rehost image", then wait a second for it to upload. When it's done simply right cligk the image, "copy image address" and then paste it in to this button:

Ok thanks people I really appreciate it. I've just signed up to Imgur.

I don;t have the rehost option. I'm using the toolbar as described above but all I'm getting is IMG text after I post the link no images are coming through.

I'm different link options but getting the same result as I did with the other photo site I tried.

I'm using firefox and Linux if that is any help?

I've just registered and uploaded my pictures and I'm still trying to figure out why my photos are not displaying on this forum. Its far from easy unless its my browser? I don't know but its starting to drive me crazy.

You're trying to link to the whole post rather than just the image. On Firefox you'll have something similar to this by right clicking on the image:

Ok @Retro6 I've downloaded Firefox to give it a go. The trick is to click on each image until it can no longer be clicked on, then right click it and select this:
