How do you work out your average speed?

i did caerphilly to sunderland in 4 hours last weekend. near on 330 miles i think.

thankgod for quiet roads

that included a short break (20 mins or so) for food n diesel, got 360 miles to a tank of diesel!!

Heh while we're sparing my best effort was probably Wigan > Hull (90miles but practically all motorway M61>M60>M62) in about an hour.

On a shorter scale I have been known to get back from my ex girlfriends house (just off J29 > J27) in a stupidly short time much to the amazment of my mates who were in the pub waiting for me

Maxing out my car in the process
