yes i did and the donut replied with "dunno - computer says no" well not quite but her response was " i dont think we do anything like that" so i said "can you ask" she said "i dont have anyone to ask"

lmfao

*** a lunatic I mean people employ these type of people...wth...

In fairness to Scuzi I think he has a point, you alone know the exact type of job you do, it's up to you to pinpoint the companies that may have departments with those types of post. Fact is you've worked in the industry so you must know competitors to your previous employers and the type of work they do - hence being able to figure out what services the companies offer and which ones you can apply to or at least ring up and ask.

Councils usually have an information line, you could always trying calling it and asking them. Alternatively have you asked in the job centre?

im sorry but no i dont see how that works at all especially not in my line of work dude,

ever get the feeling "why the hell did i bother"

dont worry - please close the thread

oi you cheeky git...@ scuzi

yell does not specify what departments each company holds they only state what services a company offers - so how the **** am I supposed to call every single services offered company - are you dumb or just plain stupid..
I'm neither. However, I am employed and have never been unemployed since I started my first ever job on my 14th birthday.

crawl back from under the stone you came out off or STFU...
Crawl back to the dole office with your Giro in hand because if you keep up that attitude, you'll be doing it for a hell of a lot longer. Enjoy your unemployment.

I was going to give some advice, I don't know if I was to anymore but I'm feeling generous today...

I'd just find out which companies are in the area (geographical and job type) I want to work for and then send speculative CVs, in person if possible.
Where to find these companies is just detective work and a bit of graft, there isn't a magic list, you have to ask around. Friends and family are a good bet, the saying "it's not what you know but who you know" is very true and I've got a fair few jobs through friends or family.
The bottom line is it's up to you.
