Hi Guys

An old favourite returns today

I used to have one of these bad boys in my loop. nice and discreet, easy to hide & mount.

I have secured a very small amount of them.

Everyone wants a tiny res.

you want a tiny res.

mount your res behind your motherboard tray.

Swiftech MCRES-Micro Rev2 Watercooling Resevoir @ £15.98 inc VAT

The MCRES Micro Revision 2 reservoir shares all the good things that characterized the classic MCRES Micro in size, quality, and provided accessories, but it also includes additional enhancements and functionalities that have been requested by enthusiast users.

- The most noticeable feature is an additional port at the bottom of the unit. This port can be used as follows:
• as an alternate outlet providing a straight tube routing to a pump located underneath
• to feed a second pump
• to plug-in a temperature sensor
• as a drain
- All threads, including the fill-port which was previously a PG7 standard, are now 1/4" BSPP (G1/4) compatible.
- New 1/4" BSPP (G1/4) plugs made of high polish chrome plated brass, are used for both the fill-port and the alternate outlet port.
- A vent was added to the anti-turbulence baffle to eliminate the formation of a small air bubble that occured in the previous model.

Great res its what I've had for a few years now.

Never thought of putting it behind the mobo tray. Not sure it would fit in my case. Might be a few mm to wide

wingz is that a V1 ? You must have had that a good few years

Why didn't I see this earlier should have order one of these rather than a Phobya Balancer.

Could do with the extra space but need all 3 5 1/4" bays in the Antec 300

I personally hate this small res but only for one stupid reason. The size means it takes ages to fill a system. I prefer bay ones or something larger than 200ml. But this fits a lot of peoples needs, also I am so happy that overclockers is finally getting back in to watercooling.

You can keep filling it whilst the pump is on

Does coolant disappear over time? Mine seems to evaporate due to heat :(.

Need a bigger res xD Should have ordered one with my backplate,

I've got a bottle with a long straw on it so i can just keep it going.

The coolant should not be going down a notable amount. I think it does go down a tiny tiny bit over time.

Probably just a few bubbles in the rad that have come out that. Can take days even weeks. Just give your case a shake and look at your res see if you can see them going round

These are some of the best reservoirs ever produced. The baffle plate means that unlike most reservoirs they don't allow much (if any) air back round the loop as you bleed it. It's a very good system and you really can tuck it away in most places. They are very commonly used with a fillport and a length of tube so you can fill it from above and top it up easily.

Something else that may not be entirely obvious from the photographs is that the mounting holes match the spacing on a standard HDD rack so they are easily mounted between the HDD rack and the outer case panel on most cases (that's why it's tall and thin).
