How does Condemned run on your system?

I thought id be able to run condemned maxed out but it appears not as it requries a recomened spec of 1gb ram, pentium 2.4 and a 6800 or later.

spec is in sig

on a side note its an excellent game, i thought it was going to look dated but i was very wrong.

on the cover of the box it just says Condemned, but when i install the game its Condemned: Criminal Origins :confused: is it the same thing
 
Condemned uses the FEAR engine to very good effect, looks excellent on high settings. You should be able to run it on max with that spec, I run it on max in 1920x1200 on my spec in my sig :/

As to the games title, yeh its just the subtitle, exactly the same game :)
 
Condemned: Criminal Origins is the American name. Over here its just Condemned, though the game itself is the same. I guess they just didn't bother to change the menu etc.

It uses the same engine as FEAR (its made by the same company and is, as I'm sure you have found out by now, similar in many ways) so its bound to run like a dog, though it should perform generally ok on a spec like yours.
 
i got this for £4 from a high street store as an xmas present for the bro-in-law, doesnt work well on his either but he really could do with an upgrade!

not sure, its runs doom3, HL2, Prey, Battlefield 2142, FarCry etc, with everything maxed out no problems.

just when i try to run condemned maxed the FPS is slow, not jerky, but just very smooth/slow (not very precise and sharp as i would like)

can i use something like FRAPS to record the gameplay and upload it so you can see what i mean
 
little bump here, I just picked this up and its fantastic. it out-fear's fear lol


anyway it runs fine here. just about everything was maxed in game, 16x af , 1920x1080.....runs pefect and looks VERY good.

what are you running it on.

i had everything, and i mean everythin on max, 16AF, 8AA (or is 4 the highest) 1440x900, 32bit, max shadows, max detail... you get the picture and it ran very slow, not jerky but smoothly (not very precise and sharp as i would like)
 
I run it maxed out at 1280x1024/4xAA/16xAF, on an A643500+/X1900XT 512mb/2gb ram.

Runs around 50fps most of the time but can slow down to about 25fps in very complex areas which is more than acceptable as it isn't a faced paced game. 2gb reduces stuttering considerably, still stutters when its autosaving which is annoying.
 
Turn off full screen FX and your FPS will double or more, all it that does is the weird grainy effect the game has (which isn't remotely realistic :/).
