How does one go about getting a kick about of football

Ok this might sound weird. But I played football my whole life with mates where I stay and mates at school and a 5-a-side team in a league.

After school I played with mates where I stay and then some mates at uni.

I am no longer at uni so dont have them to play with and my old mates in my area no longer play. And I no longer play with my old a side team.

All old mates either cba to play, have kids, houses etc or just dotn have time with jobs.

I aint played for ages so I will be crap. I am not good enough to play for a team and I dont like 11 a side.

how the hell can I get a regular kickabout?

you mean at night when the leagues are on?

just hang about, maybe a teams a player short etc?

Thing is I aint played for over a year though I am ok I will be murder right now. I need practice 1st!
 
get some new mates?

go down to local 5 a side place and ask reception if they know of a team in the league looking for a player, and give them your name and number to hand out?

or advertise your name and number on the message board in a 5 a side complex?

good points but like I say I havent played for a year so wouldnt wanna join a team or league but no other option eh?

With mates it was only ever for fun so dont matter if I was out of touch or whatever.

how else do you expect to get a game? the only people who play bounce games are mates, and you dont have any interested in playing.

leagues are the only option, and you would be better off joining a team in the lower divisions, most of them are out of shape and smoke 40 fags a day and down 5 pints after, i doubt you will look out of place, it's the top division where all the "silky" and "solid" players are

thats true my old mate at uni used to play a 5 a side league team and he is absolute murder at football.

I joined same league later and we won top league in our division so I aint a bad aplayer at all. Just i aint played for over a year.

problem is also if I join a crap team im real greedy. I just dribble and try to socre messi goals all the time lol. SO if my team is crap ill end up doing that and theyll prob dislike me :). well anyway I guess ill try to join some low level team but only 5 a side. I dont play 11s. Though its easier to find crap 11s pub teams etc? 5 a side teams are usually just mates or work colleagues they dotn look for or advertise for players.

they dont do 9-5 a few of the boys work nights and weekends, taxi driver, railroad work, pub work. Some work 2 jobs.

1 has left country.

1 has a gf and a kid out of town so never here when not working.

The rest I dont even know as we dont keep in touch.

People move on, life changes zzzzzzzzzzzzz :(

1. Get some mates (you have this, TICK)
2. Ask them to play a game with you (you can do this, TICK).
3. Play football, stop posting about this (TICK)

5. Post some other nonsense until you get banned again. What is wrong with you?
 
If i had my old mates still about I wouldnt be like this or on this forum would I? NO! I was playing footy 3x per week, hang with my mates online or at pub or in houses rest of time. Now its all crap, all has cahnged, people moved on or got kids, or 2 jobs or moved town etc..etc..

I never really had to make mates in my life,, just merged new mates in from current mates. I had same mates since I was like 5 years old until recently and I finish uni etc..it sucks! :(

I used to play in my local Goals league, but it was very badly run so moved to another league, http://www.rockslane.co.uk/ Im in London though, have no idea where you are :p if you are ever in West London then feel free to hola at me and we can play :p

Im lucky though that I have about 10 friends who I play football with regularly, and could probably get another 10 down if needed :p

depends where you are in the country innit. In South London you have slfn (south london football network) who organise games and organise you into teams. maybe there's similar elsewhere.
 
Myself and a bunch of mates play once a week - 5-a-side at the local powerleagues pitches.

Depending on the number who turn up its £3 - £5 each. Sometimes we have 4-a side, sometimes 6-a-side....

We don't play serious rules - just "no inside the box."... no leagues or anything - purely social. Some of us are ok, a couple quite good, a few pretty rubbish... Its a good laugh though and a good get together.

Quite often we have an odd matching 5 v 4 a side.... so often ask if there are any stragglers around the other pitchers/centre if they want a game. sounds ideal for you mate.... either that or try and get your mates/work-mates to do the above.
