So my spec is:

Athlon II 640 X4 @ 3.6Ghz
Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H
12Gb Corsair XMS3 @ 1600Mhz (It was on offer :p)
GTX460

In terms of HDDs I've currently got a 500Gb WD Caviar Blue which has my OS and all documents on it and a 250Gb Samsung which has my games.
I'm looking at this Crucial RealSSD M4 64GB and I'm thinking of installing the OS and maybe Music files onto this, then possibly using the 500Gb for Pictures/Videos and the games.

Good idea? My motherboard doesn't have SATA6Gb/s though so would that effect the SSD?
Edit : Also looking at the OCZ Agility 3 60GB now? Seems to have much higher read/write speeds but again would the lack of SATA6Gb/s effect it?

Thanks.

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-048-OC&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=1427 - Without sata 3 the m4 or agility 3 would be pointlessly expensive, so this is the better sata 2 option. And to be honest in general use I oubt you'd notice any difference.

Put your OS on it with games, store documents vids, pics and such on the others. The speed of an ssd would be wasted on music files or other standard storage stuff.

Of course if you want to go smaller then the price difference between the m4 / agility 3 and the vertex 2 is negligable but remember smaller ssds are slower as well...again not really by a noticable level but worth noting.

check corsair force series 3/ gt
both good drives with small price/speed difference, much better than agility, don't buy that :D ssd mainly for os, and day-to-day progs and games, storing stuff on it is complete waste. also if you like clean os every other week, this will get u there in no time, combines with os on usb3 stick of course
