*OVERCLOCKED* Intel Core i5 750 2.66Ghz @ 3.60GHz / Asus P7P55D Intel P55 Motherboard / Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) PC3-12800C9 1600MHz DDR3 Bundle

XFX ATI Radeon HD 5850 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card [HD-585A-ZNF7]

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit - OEM (GFC-00599) [GFC-00599]

Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (HD103SJ) [HD103SJ]

The total is coming to around 812 pounds. Ideally I would like to spend under 500 but this seems to be the minimum I want.

I am going from a s939 athlonx2 4400+, Asus A8N-SLI, Nvidia 8500GT 512Mb system to this.

I always like to get the biggest hit of improvement for the money when I upgrade, and I dislike Noisy hot components. Hence I went for the 5850 for its low power, low temps.

I am just a bit concerned about these bundles with the noise and heat coming out of the CPUs when they are running almost 1Ghz faster than stock. I.e. on a hot day, will they whine away or are these 3rd party coolers up to the job of keeping them cool.

Would anyone also recommend adding in one of those 60-80 quid water cooling loops that exhaust out the back of the case? I dont recall their name but they seem quite good.

The other components that will stay the same are;

Lian Li PC60
Thermaltake 800w modular psu
dell 2407 Monitor

oh thats it.. guess its a bigger upgrade than I thought

Thanks for any advice. Cost cutting steps or advice always welcome. Would love to go for SSD's but not really ready for it yet I dont think. Additionally, what about USB3 and SATA 6Gb/s? should I wait for these? I am not upgrading until the end of Jan at the earliest anyway to give some idea of time scale.

That will be a very good upgrade, The coolers you get with the packages are decent but the Corsair H50 is very good, If your not upgrading to next january your best off looking around then as by then USB3 e.t.c will be on more motherboards and the prices will have probably changed.
