How does this work??

It's about time that one of the Dons actually came out and clarified the rules on linking to things that may contain swearing in the comments section. Or is it another of those rules that is just made up on the spot by whichever Don notices the post?

I think it's not allowed, and only gets removed when a Don spots it or someone reports it.

If that's the case then it means we can't link to anything at all, as someone may post a comment containing a swearword after the article has been linked to. It also means that the Youtube thread is just one massive thread of posts that break the rules.

Well I think if it's hidden away or far, far down the page the mods won't remove it (due to not finding it!).

It's sort of like if you post a link to a site, and months or a few years down the line it's turned to a holding page or being squatted on, displaying adult material, I'm sure a mod would remove it if it got reported.

In short, you can link to things but as soon as there's a lot of swearing on it, if it gets reported a mod will likely remove it.
