How does vCore help a processor run faster?

Hello all,

I've got a vague idea of how a processor works but I am interested to know the basic details of Logic-High and Logic-Low and how adding more CPU voltage (vCore) helps to keep an overclocked chip stable . .

I have just been learning about vTT (FSB Termination Voltage) and GTL Refs but it's not all making sense yet as I'm a bit hazy about the old 0's and 1's business!

Any insights greatly appreciated! :)

Even just the notion of current instead of voltage helps clear things up!

I'm not an engineer or a computer science wiz so don't really know how current relates to amps relates to volts etc etc

I'm right on it though so with any luck the penny will drop soon lol! :p

Nor me either:D, that was one of a few links the brother of a workmate told me about, he's an electronics engineer and computer enthusiast, Quite a useful brain to pick when i was doing any overclocking.
