How early to get to a gig?

Don't think I've ever walked into a gig before half 8. The support acts are always worth missing.

I don't understand why people go to a gig so late. Unless you know who the support is, which you rarely do, then how can you decide that they'll be pants. I've been to gigs where the support band far outshone the main act. The Deftones at Braehead supported by Biffy Clyro was one particular occasion where the support was sensational.

Even if the support is crap, you just get a few beers and chat to friends.

I'm not telling you :p but I have no idea why you keep cropping up, we don't even work in the same sector.

The only thing that connects us is here ¬.¬

By bringing this up you've just failed your stalking exam :p

Well I saw king blues at roundhouse last night, doors at 7, they were on at 9..so 8 is a safe bet to be fair. Then again your support acts might not be called Cerebral Ballzy.

I used to think like this, until British Sea Power supported Manic Street Preachers last year, who are now one of my favourite bands:p

Turn up just before rush hour, see what the queue is like and if you don't want to wait then sit in albertines (30 secs walk away) and get sloshed. Or if ye olde french wine bars aren't your thing then there are plenty of pubs/bars nearby.
