How easy is it to change your number?

I'm on Vodafone and would like to change my phone number, can I just nip in and do this? Will they charge and will it be complicated?

I have a contract with them for another ~5/6 months.

If you provide a valid reason i dont suppose why they wouldnt.

One of my relatives became an alcoholic, kept calling us so my parents (both with O2 at the time) called O2 up, explained the situation and they gave them a new number.

Best thing would be to enquire and qive them a buzz, in-store or by phone

£25 to change your number, unless your getting nuisance/abusive calls, then they will ask you to call right after receiving a call like that, log it 3x and change your number for free.

I had a crazy ex who was constantly ringing me and texting me and because orange, my provider, don't provide a number barring service to customers for individual numbers, they gave me a brand new number + sim card for free.
