How easy is it to do forms?

Hey guys, I've got basic experience with designing websites however I need to implement a page with several forms whereby once the user has input the data and clicked submit, it is emailed to someone.

Is this easy to do? Do you need any addons from your hosting company or is it supported universally?

Any decent tutorials as the ones I've Google'd look tricky.

You basically need a webserver that supports PHP and the ability to send email from the server (some free providers block or limit this).

I wouldn't say it was easy, but it is do-able, but a bit of patience will be involved if you want to do it right. I would advise using PHP, see PHP tutorials, and I think PHP Freaks is a great site to get help.
