Nice one. I'm also a fan of the spreading technique with GPUs. I also like to 'cloud' the contact area of the heatsink by applying some thermal paste in all directions with a card and then rubbing it off with a lint-free cloth. Old-school.

Stripped down an XFX 390 DD last night to fit an HG10 and it's apparent there's no contact between the heatsink and VRM1. That's why they run so hot. Really odd design decision by XFX.
