How far can science and technology go before you think it's wrong?

But i'm semi-serious though, all these morals rules blah blah. Of course messing with genome is a bit bad but aslong as it's kept too within a certain degree lets all just go for it.
 
I see the issue of messing with the human genome as somewhat redundant, as I think we're just as close to beginning to merge with computers through brain-human interfaces and advanced AIs. Why spend time designing a slightly better next generation of humans when you could augment yourself instead.
 
I think anything is fine as long as its primary purpose is not to cause harm to others. Its probably also better if advancements don't directly lead to a bigger gap between rich and poor.
 
Research on something should never be stopped / prevented because of what someone thinks might happen with it. By all means legislate against using what is created but that's not a reason to not discover it.
