How Far Do You Commute?

Currently a 140 mile round trip a day. Has been for a few months.

It's things like that which keep me from moving to the U.K.
Living on a small island really messes with your hea ;P 140 miles a day? Ahghh!
I'm used to walking everywhere heh.

My work is only about 13(?) miles away, however commuting takes quite a bit of time:

Walk + bus to station - 30mins including leeway
Train - 17mins
Walk to work - 28mins

Total: 1hr15mins each way on a good day.

May have an interview this week for a place around 3 miles away as the crow flies, however getting there by public transport could still be a massive ordeal :/

Mines only a 15 minute walk - (though i still take the car) am quite fortunate in that i've always found employment quite close to my residence :D

I go 0.625 miles to school. Usually takes me 10 minutes by bike when I'm with friends, or 7 minutes if I'm not. 3 minutes or so by car if it's raining.

It takes you 7 minutes to ride just over half a mile, even alone?

:/

Mine's 5.6 miles, I do it on the motorbike in just under 15 minutes on a good day, approaching 20 minutes on a bad day.
It can sometimes take me juuuuust over ten minutes to cane it home if I'm lucky with traffic :D

Girlfriend travels ~50 miles (100 miles round trip) to Uni and back - when she's at uni, summer holidays at the moment.

I have a ~20 meter commute from downstairs and into the loft :p

1.1 mile walk - last year it was a 50 mile round trip (and £4.80 to cross the Severn bridge) a day. Living close to work is FANTASTIC. I simply can not understand people who choose to sit in an hour of traffic every morning and night - life's to short and I sure as hell aren't going to spend it sitting in traffic.

I'm talking about a bicycle, not motorbike though. I got there in 3 minutes once, when I was actually trying to go quick. I don't like being sweaty in the morning though which is why I go at a relaxed pace. :p

21 miles there and 21 miles back. 21 miles of M77 goodness and not a traffic light until I hit Glasgow :)

I know you were, I just can't beleive it would take someone 7 minutes to ride half a mile! That's walking pace...

The distance was an estimate (1km), I know I go about 4 times the speed of people walking.

Not sure you can really call it a commute as such, but from a mile to 200 miles each way, depends what area I happen to be covering that day.

I don't mind it though :D
