How far into X99 before new board revisions are known to not be required?

I remember when i bought boards in the past, it was recommended to get physical revision X of the board.

With the new X99 platform, how long will it be before we know whether teething troubles require a new board revision or hopefully not. Im particularly interested in Asus X99.

People are reporting some teething troubles in these forums with eg memory/hdds and others. Hopefully these are addressed with newer bioses.

Perhaps being overly cautious, but i dont want to buy a board only to find out a newer revision will be coming out. Im not normally an early adopter but my Q6600 is creaking at the seams.

I've got the x99 deluxe and I'm on latest bios (902) and I haven't had any problem so far. I know it doesn't really help but so far, so good. it has been pretty straightforward
