How far is work away?

21 miles away by various different routes - motoway, a road, country broad. It works out about 230 miles a week with going for dinner. Thats just under 12k a year.

Always drive, although the new offices are a little closer to the station they are still a 30 min walk away and with the nature of Telford the industrial zones are sepearte from shops and everything else.

My MG TF 160 keeps it fun and it only takes a week or so of sun in march to go a bit brown :) It also does 40mpg! I am however looking for work closer to home as it wil save me £2000+ a year if I can walk or bike to work!
 
30 miles each way, 25 of which are on the M25 between 22 (just before the M1) and 15 (M4) which usually results in a 75-90 minute crawl in the mornings. Evenings are better at around an hour.

Tool: BMW M5 5.0 V8. None of this "omg I do a few miles must get a diesel" rubbish!

Including persional miles I've done about 12,000 miles in 5 months, so probably looking at 28,000 miles a year.

Not many travelling contractors in here are there. Sometimes it takes me half an hour to get to work (this is pretty much minimum). Most jobs are 1 and a half hours away, and often 2 and a half hours. some are six hours away.

My mileage - totally unpredictable, but over a year it is pretty vast.

So at 112p a litre it costs £834.26 a year (25.8mpg which is all I get around Bristol, heavy right foot)
Hopefully next month will be halving that distance and will be walking it when it's nice. But with a car there it might be to tempting just to drive.

Got the company van last sept 13 07 .....done 37429 miles since then..........as you can see I get around a bit
 
In the office 25 miles round trip. Client visits up to 200 mile round trip.

So about 20k a year business mileage.

Company car, VW Golf GTi.
 
About 65 mile round trip, from Swindon to Chipping Sodbury, M4 J16-18. For the last two weeks (since I started) it's been pretty much clear all the way, and other than one day last week when the rain meant zero visibility, I have been able to go whatever speed I want (as in set the cruise control to 70 and not touch it again). I'm doing this in my Honda Prelude 2.2 VTEC
