How fast am I running? :-s

Having set up my new shiny i7 rig

D) and o/c'd it to 4.1GHz (x21 multiplier, bclk 196), CoreTemp and CPU-Z seem to be having a mild disagreement about how fast it is:

I'm inclined to agree with CPU-Z since not only is it agreeing with BIOS, it's telling me what I want to hear

Spec is i7 920 D0, X58A-UD7, 6GB PC31440, H50-2

Thoughts?

You need to update your version of cpuz as it doesn't show your core voltage,your running version 1.49 think the current version is 1.53

Hmm, that's odd. It was showing it when I was stability testing and is showing it again now :confused:

Showing as 1.264V, anyway. I believe the BIOS value is 1.35V :/

There is also a newer version of core temp, that may solve that issue, but either way, belive the bios, and cpu-z.

Annoyingly, I could go faster if I wasn't temperature-limited

I'm tempted to properly watercool, but on a budget.. 5-10 litres of water, central heating pump @ ~17l/min, waterblock. It's enough water that I wouldn't need a radiator/fans, it'd take so long to warm up it'd barely be above room temperature

I'd side with CPU-Z too, especially as it agrees with the bios. Very nice OC
