Well I paid 163 all in for card in sig...would stretch to an 8800GT if you can, great card. Just drink a little bit less over xmas, that should do it :)

the Turbo X 512 isnt at all far off the performance of the XT, only let down is the overclocking headroom, it barely has any. where as the XT's DDR4 does, gpu generally clocks higher to.

XTs generally cant be had for 140, personally I would go for an 8800gt as there closer to 140quid than an XT.

Just an idea, maybe grab a Turbo X 512MB now and add another one later to run crossfire??

the HD series have a higher image quality over the 8800GT so i would get them, and are good performers aswell. i would go for the HD 3870

Higher image quality? were have you got that from?

I dont think most people would notice the difference because there proberbly is hardly any difference.

Na, there's no difference.

The only time I’ve ever noticed an image quality difference was back when the old NV FX5950 and ATI 9800XT's were around.
