Just wondering what the safe tempreture of SSD's are? thinking about getting one for my birthday and where my computer is its like average of 45 degrees at night once i close my case. And no there is nothing i can do about that, i like my silent ;)

your case is cooking

my highest temp at idle is my core at 30c

everything else is between 20c and 25c

high temps are not good for longevity

if that a 750 @ 45c (load) in a 'silent' system I'd say he's doing really well.

if that 45c is the internal case temp of an inadible system in use (encoding, seti etc)
that's reasonable. (and there will be things you can do - but that are not cheap.

If that a internal case temp, with a i5 idle at night - just turn it off.

I have 2 SSD in my ultra quiet system - sit at around 40c without issue.
Most laptops with ssd have internal temps way above 50c.
As do media centres - SSD are in both more oftern that desktops

But it's new tech - in 5 years we'll know more (but the drive will be redundent by then)
