i got my ATI 5870 and physx working i had buy a 9500gt @ £38 odd, installed the nvidia card with driver version 180.22 (available on nvidia's archived driver section) installed the latest physx files.

reboot.

opened up windows monitor setup * i'm using windows 7 , then go enable monitor extension onto the nvidia screen ( just use another input to your screen and switch between the ati/nvidia) , maker the nvidia the main screen , switch inputs and turn nvidia physx on, install batman, run batman set all options to max and turn physx on, start the game, quit out, change the monitor back to the ati one as the main screen, re-run batman and it will error saying aa disabled, ignore it start batman with all the physx running.

no need to mess around using that patch thing and changing reg / dll files.

btw imo its deffo worth the £38 if you have nothing else to spend it on, the fog/steam/particle/paper effects add so much atmosphere to the game and realism and for me that the main thing.

annoying that it can all be done with software by nvidia and greedy developers getting a back hander of companies to make it only run on there hardware.

How is it annoying? Have you ever considered the fact that a business needs to make money? Especially with no ready alternative to the 5870, they need all the gimmicks they can get.
