How important are mem timings in a C2D system?

Hi all. Just trying to decide whether to shell out £125 for a DDR2 mem kit with timings 5-5-5-12 or £150 for a kit with 4-4-4-12. Is it really worth the extra timings, especially when I can probably overclock the slower memory to higher speeds? Thanks.

Works sweet for me though I have the memory speed set lower then stock due to my mobo. Set on 4-4-4-10 though and perfectly stable. The only reason I can't push my sticks higher is because of the motherboard only actually supporting 666mhz speeds.
