Class 2 slowed my Xperia phone pretty badly since most of the apps was on there (low internal memory sucks). Moving to Class 4 helped quite a bit, but it still felt slow. I would say go grab a Class 10 micro SD if you plan to move apps onto it (if your phone supports app2sd).
The class just means the minimum write speed, so a class 2 is 2MB/s minimum, a class 10 is 10MB/s minimum.
SanDisc are pretty much bang on the minimum (for write speed, can't remember what the read speed was on them) but are well priced, £35 for 64GB as said above, Samsung are faster, something like 20MB/s write and 70MB/s read but more expensive.
I use a class 10 Sandisc, like most here I think, as they're easily fast enough and well priced .
There can be a major difference between the speeds of different micro sdhc cards....
You really no want a slow micro sdhc card as it will forever to transfer data to & from it...
(I had the joy of owning very slow memory cards before )
And also don't go by just what class or price they are,as one brand class 10 card can have very different speed to another brand class 10 card..
Look up for reviews first of any cards that your interested in
