How important is the Cache?

I want a external hard drive to store HD movies on that i will stream to my xbox 360. Seen a few HD's some 2mb cache, some 8mb and some 16mb. Whats best for me without busting the back?

If all your doing is streaming video at what will be a fairly low rate the cache on the drive will make little if any difference. I'd pay more attention to capacity, reliability and flexibility when making a choice.
