Is hyper-threading for games? I read that most games on the market only use single threading, is that true? I'm currently waiting for my parts to be delivered so I can start assembling everything, including the haswell i5 4570 cpu which is 4 cores 4 threads.

Is this going to be a problem for gaming?

No, most games use at least a couple of threads. HT is nothing like 8 real cores, but it will provide a bit of extra performance in CPU intensive games that can use more than 4 threads. In games that don't you'll see no difference.

So will my new CPU be just fine? I don't wanna think I've wasted money in haste to buy a new CPU lol. If it matters at all it will be paired with a gtx 670 8gig 1600 ram with a corsair 600w 2013 GS PSU

Did you get the 4570 or 4670K? I'd have got the latter - but the CPU will be fine with the 670.
I got the 4570, from what I understand the K version are more appealing to people who overclock? something I don't intend doing, I used to but I cba with the whole process anymore and my current systems run at stock just fine.

I'd have got it anyway, even if you run it at stock as you might change your mind later, and if you sell it it'll get a much better 2nd hand price. But if you don't want to bother with DSR what you've got is fine, you don't need to worry about hyperthreading in games for now.

Thanks man, you've been a great help.
