how is everyone overclocking there chips?

Hi All,

I have just built my conroe system with the D3 chip, just wondering how people are overclocking there systems, and if anyone can spread light into what option i change in bios, just cant get my head round it??

Also in CPUZ my fsb is always changing from 6x - 7x so clock is going from 1.8 - 1.6 - is this normal for the chip???

Any help much appreciated!

He means the Multiplier is going from 7x to 6x probably some power saving option, and when he changes his fsb it doesnt seem to stick.

Do you mean the DS3 motherboard rather than a D3 chip? If so get the F3 BIOS

yeah found that, noiw has anyone got a fix for why my multiplyer is going from 6 - 7??

That is speed step, it does it when the CPU is not being used (drops to 6). Having never used the DS3 I can't really help. Probably be better asking somewhere like XS.

The Easy Tune 5 software they give you should be fine.
