One of my annoyances is people using American language in place of UK English e.g.

Mom instead of Mum
Store instead of Shop
Fall instead of Autumn

I even read a post in here where someone had "their selves" instead of "themselves" :eek:

Mistakes can happen but it takes 2 minutes to read your post before you hit the button to post it on the forum.

Hmmm +1 for all the above. Also, not sure if its grammar or cultural differences, but it really annoys me when people say they will "visit". Like when they turn up in tv shows and say they're going to visit for a while! Cant find an example :/

For me it's could have, should have and would have.
It's done that often on these forums that my brain actually replaces could have, should have and would have with the above.

The other one is 'ect'
The word is etcetera so it is 'etc'

On top of that, when some one proceeds to tell you a list of things, then once they've finished the list, says "etc". How can there be "and the rest" if you've just told me everything? :mad:

Also on that bugs me is "I should have done it" instead of "I should HAVE done it."

The thing that bugs me the most is an inappropriate use of 'like' in a sentence...

"It was like £50" ARRRAAGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!

It's creeping everywhere, I'm noticing it more and more on these forums.
