*MSI K9N Neo V3 nForce 560 (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
*Corsair 4GB DDR2 XMS2 PC2-6400C5 TwinX (2x2GB)
*AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 6400+ 3.20GHz (Socket AM2) - Retail
*Western Digital Caviar RE2-GP 1TB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (WD1000FYPS)
*Antec TruePower Trio 650W PSU
*Nvidia Geforce 7600GT (currently owned)

Is it just the system box you need or do you need monitor, keyboard, mouse, software etc? If you are happy to overclock (and probably even if not) then an Intel solution is usually faster and better value for money at the moment.

Way under your budget. Forget your initial spec this would blitz that easy. This spec you will be able to max any game except the dreaded crysis on very high, but on high no problem.

:)

Fair bit under budget but offers a very capable system with good overclocking potential.

Double that, the only thing i'm not sure about here will be the mobo but I guess he knows it better.

About being under budget, grab G5 Logitech laser gaming mouse ( expensive BUT WORTH IT ! ) some nice keyboard whichever you prefer, 20" widescreen monitor if you aint got one yet, some nice speakers ( must have for gaming) and xi-fi soundblaster.

Will put you just exactly at 1000-1100 point with monitor :) and you will probably love every bit of this PC ( maybe apart from trying to mount tuniq in p182 ;p ).
