How is this prebuilt?

Is the CPU that bad? I'll be using it for gaming so will probably upgrade to a better GPU but is the cpu not good? I couldnt find a phenom for around that price which sucks.

its a great spec, but to make it perfect for gaming then you really need to select a GTX460 as an upgrade.

if budget is too tight for the 460, the 5770 is a capable little thing, can handle dirt2 almost max'd at 1680x1050 (by almost i mean AA and AF not being at 16x, both at 4x i think would be ok)

depends a lot on the game. In my rig, source games are CPU limited, whereas most other stuff is GPU-limited.

My 5770 runs most games at max settings at 1920x1080 excluding the obvious games like Crysis and Metro 2033.

Sorry for double post, but would i be able to upgrade the CPU to a phenom or something without upgrading the motherboard? Just want ot know the limits of this PC.

+1, although i am a massive intel fanboy at heart.

an i5 @4ghz is more than fast enough for any game out now, and most of what will come out in the next 2 years. adding the 460 to that build keeps it under £750 (even with the 1 gb one), which would make for a sick mid budget gaming rig.

why dont you just build one yourself for £750 you could build an absolute killer rig, better than any prebuilt anyway, its simple and if you need help building it you have us, and youtube
