How large can they get?

You talk like you are employed by a company working on hovercraft design.

But then you come out with stuff like:

Which then just baffles me as to how you got employed by this company.

Most of your posts read like a 8 year old's thought process.

What on earth made you think that the width of the vehicle was going to be the important factor in this 'plan'?
I got employed as a source of entertainment and fairness, as the company is registered to my address, has a managing director who sired me, my boss is also my best friend, whom I promoted beyond myself using executive powers via proxy of the because she is actually rational and capable of coherent thought. The main company is simply a holdings company for various projects, most of which are online; the divisions headed by myself are principally focused on innovative camping equipment (mid development), robotics (early-mid development), publishing (early development) amongst other bits, under the umbrella title of "cool ****". The result of this was me being let loose on the internet, as you have already observed.
The hovercraft was a ridiculous idea that was the result of sleep deprivation and two fifteen year olds with very little grasp on reality (Myself and by boss).
The width of the vehicle determines how much stuff we can put in, as well as the amount of living space.

You may not have noticed, but I am really rather silly, and everything that I say should be disregarded as the outbursts of a lunatic who was raised by the mantra of nothing being impossible, merely highly improbable.
