How long after knowing your partner did you propose?

Just out of curiosity? All my "parents" generation seemed to have proposed from 12 months to 18 months in range after first meeting the person.

I'm guessing this has changed now?

Any chance of people sharing the age group they are in and when they proposed?

I was kidding haha, though this whole catholic business is certainly trying my patience haha.

Not that I would propose just for that. :p :D

Some very short times here :p I think, that anything under 4 or 5 years is a bit too quick to be honest :p Obviously, as shown by a few people here, it can week, and very well, but I still think that very few relationships stay alive for years, if you propose too soon. I don't plan on getting married until I'm 25. The later the better. Want to experience life to the full, and not be tied up so soon. Obviously, people are different.

Personally I'd disagree quite strongly, and citing examples of people I know who got married young (parents, friends of family, family relations), it seemed to enhance their lives far more!

In my opinion, it's the dream to be able to do everything with essentially your best mate. :)
